Family legend says that this historic home was built for Carrie, the daughter of Charles Mears, the lumber baron who built the channel into Lake Michigan and operated a sawmill on its banks.
P5H2O is ideally located on a dead-end street, 2 blocks from Pentwater’s downtown and less than 3 blocks from the Lake Michigan sandy beach at Charles Mears State Park.
This spacious and comfortable 3-bedroom, 1.5 bath has room to sleep 7 to 8 guests. Bedroom one has a queen-sized bed; bedroom two has a full-sized bed, twin bed, and daybed; and bedroom three has twin-sized bunk beds. Linens and towels provided. There is a portable A/C unit in the first-floor master bedroom.
The kitchen is fully furnished: stove, oven, fridge, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. All appliances are electric. Satellite TV, and a deck with gas grill for your enjoyment. Washer and dryer available for your use.
Please note that during the busy season, late June to mid-August we have a 1-week rental minimum. Pets are allowed with a $50.00 deposit.
Please, no smoking and no fireworks allowed. Thank you for treating our home as you would your own.
Weekly rate is $2,040.50 and it includes rent, clean, and a 6% Michigan use tax. Also required is a separate check for the $500.00 refundable damage deposit. To book we need half of the rent down and a signed contract you can download from our website. 30 days before check in we need the balance of the rent plus a separate check for the damage deposit. We rent Saturday to Saturday. Linens and towels are available provided you wash and dry before leaving. Check in is after 4:00 p.m. check out is before 10:00 a.m.
